Manifesting their core belief in emotionally durable design, AnanTaya introduces The Palm Basket  range of furniture and products that are a unique collaboration with women artisans of an NGO based in the village of Geejgarh, Rajasthan. The leaves of the local palm trees have traditionally been used to make articles like ropes, mats and baskets. The women upgraded their existing skills to consistently produce low footprint renewable resource high-quality basketry.

Through the Palm Basket range, The skills  get transformed into future ready designs as an Armchair, Bar chair, Swing Chair, Sculptural containers. Seating Mats, Wall Decor, Organisers.The material, the design response and the final products have utility, beauty and grace for everyday use.    

A tall sleek set of metal legs is topped with a subtle woven and shaped basket seat. Palm rope is woven onto the seat frame resulting in an elegant comfortable perch made from a flexible woven surface. The resulting stool is a suave, stable and sculptural form with comfort available in two heights: 24 and 30 inches.
